Toys are kind of a hit or miss, like my cat not jumping on the catnip bandwagon with the other high cats in the ghetto.

That being said, your dog probably misses you so much, such loyal companion they are. I've seen those toys that shoots balls with treats, it might work or not... But dogs can also be a sucker for novelty so might be worth giving a try.
