Thanks for sharing your story. I'm not formally diagnosed with ADHD, but I have my suspicions. I have days of hyperfocus and days that just slump. My research tells me that I might be a candidate for ADHD, although I hate to admit it.
I don't like that I have good days and bad days. I really wish I'd be able to stick to a predictable routine where fulfillment is guaranteed.
I've been a late comer for most of my high school life too. Remote work has saved me from the dreaded traffic and transit to work, so I guess I'm lucky.
As someone who have managed people and projects myself, I admit the industry isn't well equipped to adjust to the unique and individual needs of everyone. There are project management methodologies like Kanban, Scrum or Agile that we all must adhere to as a team. I even fail my own standards miserably at times.
We live in a neurotypical world, and I guess we really have to adjust. Businesses care more about output and money than people.
